Fangirling
My F’in Blog for “November” (sorry, I know it’s late) had to be about fangirling. Anyone who knows me knows that I love to fangirl about pretty much everything in life. From snacks, to shoes, to trashy TV, to music…. again, pretty much everything. So, to choose just one main topic to fangirl about was a daunting challenge, but I can officially say that my biggest fan girl thing at the moment - that is worthy of a full blog - is 2014. We are a month away from a whole New Year starting, and that’s super exciting, especially when I think of all the things it’s going to bring with it!The first thing 2014 is bringing is our industries biggest tradeshow of the year in Las Vegas. Matt, Shelby and myself are making the trek this year. In this case, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas. We go, we learn, we explore, and we bring it all back to share with our customers. We get to do everything from listening to some of the most influential people in the industry speak to walking miles of tradeshow floor seeing new products and discovering new suppliers. We come back inspired and better at our jobs - ready to make our customers marketing bigger and better than it was before. Woo!The next few notable things that 2014 is bringing aren’t necessarily relatable to work, but they are very important parts of life. First of all, in June, I will get to welcome a new member to my family! Yup, that’s right, baby number 2 will be coming into the Kirby family. SO EXCITING! Shortly after that, we will get to celebrate another momentous occasion among the PS team – Shelby is gettin’ hitched! We get to travel to Montana, hang out in the mountains and be there for the moment she goes from being a Goettemoeller to a Zach. How cool is that?The last, and maybe most important thing that 2014 is going to bring is… who knows!!! December 31st, 2013 will get here, midnight will strike and it will be 2014. It will be a clean slate. It will be that moment where we all can have a fresh start, set new goals, and look forward to a year of, well, who knows what. All I know is I’m going to make sure mine is great – from beginning to end find a way to make sure it’s the best 2014 it can be.What are you going to do to make sure your 2014 is great?
