Hi! (Now you say Hi back)

I’m Shelby, and I’m the Lead Creative here at Promotional Solutions. I guess I don’t really think of myself as the MOST creative person in the world, but I do love my work and try really hard at it! This job is good for me because I love making things pretty and also because I LOVE glitter! Now I obviously know that making something pretty isn’t what graphic design is about, and we don’t even use glitter… but I still think both of these things help with my creativity.Did you watch the Bachelor this season? If you did, you know all about the overplayed statement that I’m about to reference. That’s right, friends, we’re talking about my “sparkle!” (Please note: I am nothing like the crazy bachelorette who referenced her sparkle- I am way more sane… I think.) My creative work gives me my sparkle and I’m not going to let anyone take it away! The desire to create has always been in me, even before I knew it was something I could have a career doing.It’s like, you know how people sometimes say that glitter is the herpes of crafts? Yeah, so it’s a little bit of that, but I don't think glitter's really gross like the comparison suggests. I think people say that because glitter never, ever goes away. And guess what, neither does my sparkle! There are plenty of days when I don’t feel sparkly or when my work doesn’t need to be glitteriffic. But I know that if needed, my sparkle can always reemerge. Plus, if I wanted to always be sparkly, I’d just be on Twilight instead of a designer.I love working for all sides of the spectrum where I sometimes get projects that require me to be super creative and other times just need to design things that make people and businesses look good. Even though I don’t actually put glitter in my designs, I hope I’ve helped you see a little bit of what drives my work and me!Have a super sparkly day!- Shelby Zach
